Mark Mendez
Senior Data Analyst
Mark's a father, tech enthusiast, and deadhead. After earning a B. Physics from Colorado School of Mines, he moved into the Construction Technology space as the first EvolveLAB team member back in '16. He began by helping firms move from AutoCAD to Revit, and then quickly advanced into developing scripts with Dynamo and Python. From there, he started developing custom software, such as EvolveLAB's SketchUp to Revit tool "Helix", which made use of .NET, Ruby, and JavaScript. After being in the consulting space for a few years, he made a pivot to an electrical contracting firm who builds data centers for FAANG. While there, he gained extensive experience in software engineering, DevOps, and cloud strategy and development with both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
Outside of the office, there's nothing Mark loves more than just hanging out with his wife and kids. As a “Dead Head”, his music consumption over the past 4 years has been almost exclusively Grateful Dead shows. His top 2 favorite songs, “Morning Dew” and “Brown-Eyed Women”, have over 250 and 300 different versions recorded. Mark's also an avid reader. His favorites include Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace", Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick”, and the entire “Sherlock Holmes” collection by Arthur Conan Doyle.
